How Flymind Was Born?
A few years ago, Dmitry’s wife — the founder of Flymind — became deeply interested in psychology. Two years later, she joined training programs where psychologists and neuropsychologists worked with children with autism. That experience revealed how essential support for both parents and specialists truly is — and how technology could make that support more accessible and effective.
“It reminded us of the time when our son was born, and we were told he might have autism.
Although he eventually grew up without ASD, the question stayed with us — what would we have done if the diagnosis had been confirmed?
At my wife’s initiative, we decided to visit a rehabilitation center that helps children with autism. We spent a week there, talking to the children and observing their parents — anxious, caring, and deeply devoted.
We shared long walks and dinners with those parents, listening to their stories. Originally, it was my wife who wanted to help children with autism and their families — but that trip had a profound impact on me as well. Considering my background in artificial intelligence, I thought: ‘We can truly use AI and modern technology to help these families and their children.’”
